After being awarded funding by the York Consortium for Conservation and Craftsmanship, to hold a Hempcrete course at our new office project, Lingcroft Granary, the course was a great success!
It ran over 3 days and was taught by Alex Sparrow of UK Hempcrete focusing on the use of hempcrete to renovate and retrofit traditional buildings. The course was compromised of an introduction and presentation in the morning and a practical course in the afternoon, which included shuttering, reinforcement, mixing and the placing of hempcrete.
All who participated in the course had little to no experience in hempcrete, but by the end of the course were competent in the mixing and placing of hempcrete.
We have created a time-lapse video of the 3 day course in action, which you can view below!
