Today, we’re celebrating our one-year anniversary of being featured in the RIBA Journal with our bespoke roofing solution at All Hallows Church Leeds. This exciting project not only included designing a durable and robust zinc roof system to replace the uninsulated and leaking church roof, but featured a special insulation Soprema’s Pavatextil P made from cotton fibres extracted from recycled jeans and velvet and is:
- A cost-effective alternative to a wood-fibre product.
- It’s versatile and can be installed between timber or metal frameworks, on the inside of walls and sloped roofs, as well as attic floors.
- The soft cotton product is easily adaptable, fitting comfortably into awkward areas.
- It’s easy to install for contractors – does not itch or irritate operatives during installation.
- It has exceptional sound and thermal insulation properties, delivering against thermal losses in winter and heat transmittance in summer.
- It’s cotton fibres have hydrophilic and hygroscopic properties and are exposed to anti-bacterial, fungal and flame-retardant treatments making them resistant to dust mites and mould.
- It has an A+ classification for VOC emissions.
