Project Village House, North Yorkshire

This listed village property had been insensitively altered and extended over the last 50 years and needed a complete overhaul. Existing extensions were removed and the internal layout altered to suit the lifestyle requirements of the new owner. A large orangery was constructed to the rear with views towards nearby hills and across the gardens. This provides a large and flexible kitchen, dining and living area. New windows were installed to accurately replicate existing windows which were beyond repair with traditional and appropriate building techniques employed.

Change of use was granted to convert an adjoining barn into a holiday cottage, retaining original features and preserving original windows and finishes.
