Native helped refurbish and extend this ugly bungalow in South Milford into a stylish, energy efficient, two storey home.

Our brief was to improve the external appearance, upgrade the fabric and reorder the existing ground floor layout to suit the clients style of living and by utilising the existing roof space and forming an extension to the rear we have improved and increased the property’s floor space.

Working closely with UK Hempcrete, we delivered a lime rendered, single storey, timber framed, hempcrete insulated extension that significantly improves the look and thermal performance of the rear of the property. The new dormer window and front door coupled with the rendered finish ties the old in with the new and creates a striking front elevation.

Utilising insulation products made from renewable materials and employing best building practice to achieve good levels of airtightness throughout, the client now benefits from improved indoor comfort and a healthy living environment.
